Robinah is a qualified social worker with experience in childcare. Her job role is varied but her main role at LTCH is to coordinate project activities liaising with stakeholders and beneficiaries alike, processing project data and evaluating impact. She is also a trained newborn hearing screener and undertakes some administrative duties

Rinah has a Ugandan qualification in sign language and has experience as a nursery teacher. When she joined LTCH in 2018 she was the clinic clerk. She then showed interest in some aspects of audiology and changed her role to assist the audiologists. Most recently in 2023 she has learned some basic hearing testing skills and has trained in newborn hearing screening, fitting of hearing aids and basic fine tuning.

Dorcus is a social science graduate and has been working with LTCH since 2018. She is very proactive, and flexible with her work. She is trained as the clinic clerk managing patient appointments. She has adapted well to the recent transition from paper records to an electronic medical record system. She is also a trained Newborn Hearing Screener and steps into this role to cover when needed.

Angela is a public health graduate and has been working with LTCH as Lead Newborn Hearing Screener since 2018. She is passionate about her work and is responsible for overseeing all newborn hearing screening programmes that LTCH is involved with in addition to screening babies in Kisenyi Health Centre and educating new mothers about childhood hearing loss.

Sylvia Mwami

Sylvia has been working with LTCH since 2018. She is a qualified nurse and has been trained in school hearing screening, infant and newborn hearing screening. She worked in the mobile clinic for 3 years screening children in outreach clinics and doing school hearing screening in Kampala Primary schools. She currently screens in the paediatric outpatients dept at Naguru Hospital and the ENT Paediatrics Dept at Mulago Hospital

Josephine holds an advanced Diploma in Audiology from Ugandan School of Allied Health Management Science and has been with LTCH since 2015 where she has received in-house training in paediatric audiology from UK Audiologists. She is now a very experienced Paediatric Audiologist and assesses the hearing of children with complex additional needs.

Joyce is a qualified nurse and was sponsored in 2020 by LTCH to study the 18-month Audiology Diploma course in Kampala. She completed her diploma in 2022 from the Ugandan School of Allied Health Management Science. She has benefitted from in- house and remote training in paediatric audiology from UK Audiologists. She still benefits from ongoing mentoring and in time will become a very experienced paediatric audiologist.

Gerald is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with additional training & expertise in paediatric audiology & hearing aid technology from S/Africa. He has worked for LTCH since 2019 providing speech and language therapy for children and providing a hearing aid service. He is an outstanding communicator, well organized and provides an excellent service for the children
